Poolfish has been acquired by Metrix Finance. All LP & lending tools now live on Metrix.

About Poolfish

Poolfish has never really belonged to one company. It's a community-led tool that has been passed hand to hand for five years. Built on a Uniswap Foundation grant, bought and rebuilt in public, and now carried forward by the team at Metrix Finance. This is the whole story, receipts included.

2021 to 2023

The grant era: Uniswap.fish

Poolfish began as the kind of thing DeFi does best: one independent developer, Chun Rapeepat, built the tool he wished existed. Uniswap v3 had just been released, making LP math complicated. Uniswap.fish let anyone preview what a range would earn before having to commit a dollar to the pool.

Uniswap Foundation

Backed by the Uniswap Foundation in its first grants wave. Community money for a community tool.

And it became the tool. If you provided liquidity on Uniswap v3 back then, someone eventually sent you the link. One liquidity provider running ranges through it was a creator named Jake Call. Remember the name.

What the site never had was a business behind it, with the resources to evolve. After two years, Chun was ready to hand it to someone who would keep it alive.

Summer 2023

The $37,000 bet

Noah Bragg was providing liquidity himself, he kept hitting the same walls every LP hits, and ran into Uniswap.fish while trying to solve his own problem. Instead of building a competitor, he bought the site for $37,000 and told the whole internet exactly what he paid, why, and documented what happened next.

“It's kind of nice to not have to start from zero.”

2023 to 2026

The Poolfish years

A month in, Uniswap.fish became Poolfish, because the tool had outgrown a single exchange. Noah shipped support for PancakeSwap, SushiSwap, and QuickSwap, a pool-discovery page, deeper calculations, a weekly LP newsletter, and eventually Poolfish Pro.

Metrix: the same idea, taken all the way

Remember Jake Call? The creator who'd been running his own ranges through Uniswap.fish? In August 2023, Jake founded Metrix Finance. The first version was literally a fork of Uniswap.fish. Everything after that got rebuilt from the ground up, into what he wished he'd had when he started LPing.

When Poolfish joined Metrix in 2026, the tool wasn't sold off to some stranger. It went home with one of its own users. The site you're on runs on Metrix data now, and every path leads over to the official Metrix app.

Chapter four is yours

Everything this tool was ever going to become already exists on Metrix. Simulate any pool or lending market, backtest a range on real history, and track every position you open. A free account takes about a minute, and Poolfish's pool tables stay right here whenever you want them.

Noah Bragg

Steward #2. Bought it, built it, handed it forward.

Bought Uniswap.fish for $37,000 and rebuilt it into Poolfish entirely in public, with every fix, every revenue experiment, and every mistake on camera. In crypto since 2020, and a serial bootstrapper before that.

The next build-in-public

$250 and a camera

Noah put $250 into a trading account, pointed a camera at it, and publishes the whole thing. Setups, entries, stop-losses, and the trades that go against him. Nothing edited out afterwards to look smarter. The channel is new and the ending isn't written yet, which is the good part. You'd be early enough to watch it happen instead of hearing about it afterwards. The same person who documented Poolfish from $37,000 purchase to acquisition is now documenting a trading account from $250. Follow along.

Three stewards, one tool, and the same job from start to finish: telling LPs the truth about what a position will earn. Thanks for being part of it. Let the fish keep swimming.
